How to use Mazkir

Build your memory in projects, choose who each one is for, and connect your AI agents so every one of them remembers what you've built.

Your memory, in projects: personal, shared, or public

  • Personal. You start by naming your first project, and can make more from the project list at the top of the sidebar. Only you and your agents see them.
  • Shared. In the project's settings (the gear beside the project list), invite people by username, each able to edit or only read. They get the invitation as a notification.
  • Public. Choose Publish to let anyone read it at its own page. People can star it, follow you, follow it to read it in their own list, or clone a copy. You can make it private again anytime.

Find public projects in Explore: a feed from the people and projects you follow, the most starred, and the newest.

Building your memory

  1. Create an account with Google, or with your email and a password.
  2. Create folders in the sidebar with New folder, and notes with New note.
  3. Write in Markdown. Add tags, separated by commas, to group related notes.
  4. Switch between Edit and Read above the note. Read shows it formatted.
  5. Drag notes and folders to reorganize them; use the pencil to rename a folder.
  6. Search forgives typos and matches the start of words. Type #tag to see only notes with that tag.
  7. Export every note as Markdown from Settings, anytime.

Connect your agents

Every agent connects to the same address. It's the connection address, not the website, and it asks you to sign in:

Sign in the same way you do here (the same Google account, or the same email), and the agent sees the same projects you do: it can read your projects, the ones shared with you, and the public ones you follow, and write only where you can edit. Without being told which project, it uses your first one.

ChatGPT

Full guide for ChatGPT, with troubleshooting.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then the section for apps and connectors, and add a custom connector.
  2. Name it Mazkir and paste the address above as the server URL.
  3. Choose OAuth sign-in. Mazkir configures the rest automatically, so leave the advanced settings alone.
  4. Continue past ChatGPT's notice about custom connectors, then sign in.

Claude

Full guide for Claude, with troubleshooting.

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the address above, add it, then connect and sign in.

Claude Code and other agents

In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http --scope user mazkir https://mazkir.io/mcp, then type /mcp to sign in (full guide for Claude Code). Any other agent that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in works the same way: give it the address above.

Once connected, ask things like:

  • “Add a day in Kyoto to our Japan trip project in Mazkir.”
  • “Summarize this week's earnings notes in my stock analysis project.”
  • “Save this protocol to the lab project, in the Methods folder.”
  • “Find the shakshuka recipe in the family recipes project.”
  • “Remember that I prefer aisle seats and morning flights.”
